Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with what is considered to be right or wrong. As information, cyberspace can be accessed globally, with the help of “Computer ethics”. There is a need to examine what is right or wrong for internet/online users. Ethics is a set of moral principles that regulate the use of computers and enhance cyber security. The term computer ethics was first coined by Walter Maner in the mid-1970s.

- The Corresponding formulation and jurisdictions of policies for ethical use of such technology.
10 Commandments of Computer Ethics Violations:
- You shall not use a computer to harm others.
- You shall not snoop around other people’s digital files.
- You shall not interface with other people’s computer work.
- You shall not use cyber to steal one else data.
- You shall not use other people’s computer resources without authorization.
- You shall not use a computer to bear false witness.
- You shall not copy or use private software for which you have not paid.
- You shall not appropriate other people’s intellectual output.
- You shall think about the social consequences of the program you are writing on the system you are designing.
- You shall always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your fellow humans.
